Triple Easel card, and making backgrounds & a painting

Hi guys,
Well I have got my app for the Hospital on Tuesday and must say I cant wait will have to wait for the results,as doubt they will tell me,but at least I am heading in the right direction.
I wanted to make something vintage,so I made this triple easel card, the papers are from paper cellar the images are crafty individuals, and the lady in the middle is from my dear buddie Junibears, she had this as a free image on her blog. Then just added bits and bobs from my stash,to finish. Edging, with old paper distress inks.

I have also been playing at making, crackle backgrounds, this is done with paint, and glue to achieve the, crackle in the background, which is perfect for,the vintage and distress look works brilliantly too.
So I have decorated the cover on this book I have been making, will be doing more during the week.
I have put the bigger pictures on so you can see the backgrounds. Images from crafy individuals, lace, pegs, charm and Tim holtz, ticket.
I have also had a go at painting,no I am not enlarging this I bought the,Sheena Douglas CD,but I have no paints, still waiting for those,so I decided to have a play with what I had. These obviously do not work like hers,as Sheena's are rich, and hold the paint on the brush better too. The leaves I have totally done myself, just using paint. So here it is,this was my first try its not very good I know that, but hope the paints, arrive tomorrow,as I have been waiting for ages.
challenges,
My vintage affair buttons, which i have used on my,triple easel card,

Love triple easel cards and yours is a beaut. The crackle background on the book cover is great as is your first attempt at drawing and painting. Seed catalogues that you get free in magazines are a great point of reference. Hope your paints arrive soon. Great news about the hospital, so glad things are moving for you Cheryl. Enjoy the weekend, Hugs Annette x
