I am Back at last/Make your own Backgrounds

Hi guys
Well long time no see, hope you are still with me can totally understand if you are not.
Alfie has been really sick, thought at one point I was going to loose him,he lost so much weight he had to have an operation on his ear, then he hurt his back. So I spent a month nursing him back to health. No way was he going anywhere as I just could not bare to be without my little man.
Then my daughter Lisa moved, out so another week trying to get her settled in her new house, then getting mine, back with my craft room.
Then,33 years, and finally a brand new kitchen, totally gutted the whole place, ended up with new, cooker, washing machine, fridge, floor cupboards work tops the lot. Wow have never, seen so much lovely shiny new stuff,so that was another month,or chaos.
But I really hope and pray now things will improve I have started treatment due to the accident, last year, and have spent no time on the computer, just can not seem to settle for long. But hope this will sort its self soon.
Anyway enough of me running on,over at anything goes, this week the theme is make your own backgrounds, and this is what I came up with.
This is a canvas which I turned and used the other side,so it gave me,the frame. Covered it with material, then made some of the embellishments, book and paper,. The background inside is,made using tissue paper, then adhered to the base and using one of my stamps which was lightly tapped into, black Gee- Sso,to give that soft impression.
So hope you will join us in our challenge this week, which started yesterday but I had computer issues,so hence one day late. The challenge is HERE

Here are a couple of things I have been playing with,as I have not done much crafting either, but did buy some indigo blu stamps which really helped with my Mo Jo.
This I stamped, the background onto white card, cut out using a spellbinders shape, then stamped in red paint, mixed with white Gee- Sso,then stamped the lady using coffee archival ink.

This one was stamped with Black Gee Sso then cut out using a spellbinders shape, then I stamped her again and used the flowers to decoupage with. Then finished with some distress inks.

Lots of things I have used can be found,on the craftden website HERE Indgo blu stamp can be found HERE

I will be back later I promise,as I have so missed you guys,I have a hospital app this morning so have to get ready,so will be back to catch up later all my love massive hugs Cherylxxxxxxx

Of course we are still here Cheryl and it's so mice to see you posting and creating your lovely artwork. That Indigo Blue image is a real fav of mine being a bit of a Bronte fan,

Poor Alfie, I do hope he continues to improve, it's so worrying when they are poorly. We are still back and forth to the Animal Health Trust with our pup Holly, she too needs an operation, but needs to develop more into a little lady first if you follow my drift.

Take care,

B x

Hi Cheryl,
I just discovered your blog and I like it! Especially this colorful frame you exposed on the Anything goes Challenge Blog - I love the vivid colors and the wonderful objects nearly more than the background  ... which is fine, too! Please, tell me: what's the difference between Gee- Sso and "ordinary" gesso? I'd never thought stamping looks that fine with gesso - amazing. I have to try myself these days,
best wishes, serafeena
